Heather Vance – Studio Owner and Artistic Director
Heather has been actively involved in both professional and community theatre for over 26 years. As an actress, choreographer and director she shares an energy, love and passion for the stage that she passes on to her students. Before Opening Studio 48 Heather has had the pleasure of working with the Sunshine Festival Theatre Company, ( performer ) Muskoka Touring Company, ( Performer, Choreographer) Tapps Performing Arts (Recreational and Competitive dance coach ) Beaverton Town Hall Players ( Performer/Choreographer in numerous productions, and Director/Choreographer of Junior Productions the Snow Queen, Grease, Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins) Fern Resort Lip Sync Show( Choreographer ) Miss Heather Studied the I.S.T.D ballet syllabus under Jacqui Wesselingh. Miss Heather is a certified Adapt Jazz , tap and Acrobatique coach and has successfully prepared students to take exams in ballet ,jazz, tap and acro.
Jacqui Wesselingh– Ballet Exam Coach
Miss Jacqui has her associate teaching membership with the Imperial Society of Teachers and is instrumental in helping prepare our students to enter exams. She Studied ballet, jazz, modern, tap, national, and flamenco full time in the UK for 4 years. She has worked professionally with a dance company in Germany and danced professionally on board a Mediterranean cruise ship. She has choreographed for a review show in UK and has taught in the UK and Orillia for over 10 years preparing students for ballet exams and choreographing routines for competition season. Miss Jacqui is a invaluable asset to our studio and her students.
Miss Samantha - Junior Coach
Miss Samantha has been training in dance since the age of three and has graced the stage with several lead roles in both community and studio theatrical performances. She is a wonderful mentor and inspiration to the young dancers at our studio. Miss Samantha has received numerous awards at dance competitions being recognized for her outstanding performance qualities. She has successfully completed ISTD ballet, Acrobatique Acro, and Adapt Jazz and Tap Exams; earning marks of distinction. During the past 4 years she has worked her way through our teacher mentoring program:she began as a demonstrator, then became an assistant and last year began her journey into teaching choreography. We are thrilled to have Samantha on our teaching team this year.
